Selling or Buying? You Have the Power to Choose!
One agent or agency is not the same as the others. There is a
difference! There are several criteria you should consider before choosing someone to
help sell your home, or in choosing an agent to help you buy a home. Experience, Time,
and your Interests are the qualities I consider most important. Let me tell you why!
Experienced and Attentive
The most important thing as agents we need to listen to you! If you
have ever worked with someone that doesn’t hear you out completely and doesn't ask the right
questions, you are not working with an agent that has your best interests at heart.
Time!
A novice agent or overworked agent can
send you in circles of unnecessary burdens because they don’t take the
time you require. Minor misrepresentations can also cost you much
time and money. Get things in writing! Familiarity with the
area and homes involved in the buying/selling process can also aid you
immensely!
Interests
Who’s Interest? It should be all about you! Whether buying or
selling! Your agent should have your desires and wishes in everything they do. It
is not your agents job to sell you anything! It is your decision to buy. An agent
should give you all the information they can and let you make the decisions. An agent is
working for you! To many are only motivated by commission and don’t take the time to
give you your options.
Choose an agent that listens, that has time for YOU, and has your best
